New Moon Pisces

The New Moon in Pisces marks the beginning of the last lunar cycle of the astrological year. With the Sun and Moon conjunct at 1 degree of this watery sign, we’re invited to the depths of cosmic consciousness, to swim in the archetypal waters of spiritual connection, dreams, and collective energies. 

Ruled by Neptune, Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac, and brings to mind the watery consciousness of the womb before the fire of birth (ushering us through the last steps of this corridor of Winter into Aries and the Equinox birthing Spring!). May we integrate the lessons of the past year with depth and sensitivity, exploring the before-hidden realms of the unconscious with wisdom, a wisdom earned that can now act as a guide as we dive for hidden gems from the forgotten wealth of our collective humanity. May we have breath in wandering, not lost, preparing to bring the light of our findings to the surface, that we may share our discoveries  with compassion and grace. 

At the time of the New Moon, Neptune and Venus are also in Pisces. Neptune is home in her sign, and sounds gongs of spiritual possibilities, a call to submerge. She asks that we step back from the linear. Take a bath. Jump in the sea. Sing. Meditate and traverse the landscape of the psyche. Venus, symbol of love and beauty, is on the cusp of Aries, and transitions to this next sign less than an hour after the New Moon, where she extends her hand back: to the sea, to ideals, and sings a final note before plunging ahead into the fiery realm of passion and creation of the new.

On the brink of realms, death into life, racing ahead in this time of all planets direct (which continues until April), we have a wealth of knowledge available to manifest new visions and realities, and this New Moon invites us to tune into that ancestral/body/intuitive/archetypal wisdom for support– because things are moving FAST! And we may draw on the support of the space and knowledge beyond time for the capacity to integrate our full potential for the good of all and the collective as we create our rich tapestries with attention and skill in what’s woven beneath the surface. Insights, visions, and dreams allow us to accomplish beyond the limits of time and space. 

Sextiles between Venus and Neptune with Pluto at the end degree of Capricorn shows opportunities to draw upon the power and intensity of what we’ve learned over the past 16 years about structures, mastery, control, and tradition (tapping into what secrets have been revealed, and what transformations have alchemized in our individual lives and collectively) to support us in compassionate understanding of the depths of wisdom and humanity.

As we tune into the feminine rhythms of water, the sea, emotions, twisting turning paths, and intuition, Mercury in Aquarius aspects Mars, Uranus, and Jupiter, bringing a yang quality to our communication: wizardry. Air and Fire dance support and speed into our capacity for sharing the wealth of our underwater discoveries, making this a wonderful time for engaging conversations, poetry, writing, taking information in, and communicating what may have once seemed beyond language and our capacities for understanding. 

Looking forward to more birthing energy next month, may we revel in whatever’s revealed now, may we release the need to control or force, and enjoy the wandering of a sure true path. May it be shared. May we support each other on our spiritual paths and awakening.
