New Moon in Pisces, Venus, and Eclipses

2/24/25

Happy Pisces and near Eclipse Season! I’m excited to share this cosmic update with you. So much is happening, and I hope you’re doing well.

We made masks on Sunday for the Pisces Gathering, and I’m including a picture of one I made as a guide on Venus’s Underworld Journey ❤️. Also, in honor of Mars, I’m also offering a referral deal between now and 4/18 (Mars enters Leo). If you refer me to a friend between now and 4/18, your next reading is $86 for an initial 90 minute natal chart or $55 for an hour long follow up reading.

After 10 weeks, Mars went direct yesterday. For anyone who’s been feeling stuck, this will hopefully bring a welcome burst of energy. God of war and activation, Mars can get a little rowdy, and this is a great time to utilize some of the skills and lessons we may have gained over the past months to move forward effectively, asserting ourselves with finesse and patience.

Still in Cancer, Mars is positioned for some care taking and matters at home, reminding us to practice self-care, retreat when needed, and enjoy warm (or HOT) water when possible.

All planets are now direct (appearing to move forward through the zodiac), though not for long. We have a beautiful watery Pisces New Moon on Thursday (2/27) and then Venus goes retrograde on Saturday March 1st.

Venus is retrograde least of all the planets, and her six-week journey into the Underworld is a potent time for self-reflection and getting in touch with our authentic desires and attractions. This Venus retrograde is especially powerful. She will appear to move backwards from the beginning of the Zodiac at 10 degrees of Aries to 24 Pisces at the end.

Venus’ retrograde cycle is beautiful and predictable. She can be mapped through a five pointed star pattern that repeats, retrograding over a similar place in the sky every eight years, meaning that Venus was retrograding from Aries to Pisces eight years ago. Whatever was going on then may be a helpful key to what’s unfolding now.

There’s so much going on at that point of the zodiac this year and Venus is part of an expansive celestial choreography! She will retrograde over the beginning and end of the zodiac just as outer planet, Neptune, God of the Sea, enters Aries. This dreamy planet of collective consciousness will make its first move into Aries and a new cycle on March 30th, retrograding in and out until January of 2026 (the last time was in 1862!).

Neptune’s ingress (move into a new sign) comes just one day after a partial Solar Eclipse in Aries, where the Sun and Moon will meet just one degree from the place where Venus begins her retrograde.

Also, if you’re into the newly discovered celestial bodies beyond Neptune, this eclipse and Venus’ retrograde point are conjunct Kuiper Belt Object, Salacia: Neptune’s mermaid wife and mother of Triton. Check her out if you’re interested because she brings a beautiful energy to the dance here: goddess of the calm and shimmering sea, very much associated with love.

Adding form and solidity to whatever’s being born, Saturn with his 29 year cycle also makes first moves into Aries in May. So close to Neptune, the two planets will conjunct at zero degrees of Aries in 2026.

Whoa!!!

Some key words here: endings, beginnings, dissolving, birthing, beauty, attraction, truth, spirit, collective consciousness, material change, structure, form…  Something new is being born. With Neptune, it’s likely artistic, spiritual, and consciousness oriented. It can be super confusing and feel like no idea what’s going on.

Venus is moving back and forth over this gateway in the sky, calling us to get in touch with parts of ourselves that may have been in shadow (myths to check out: Inanna’s Decent, Isis and Osirus).

Saturn, god of time, structure, form, and “what you reap is what you sow,” is nearing the oceanic energies of Neptune and beginning a new cycle as well. Whatever changes we’re making can be lasting and strong, and Saturn suggests that repeated practices, perseverance, and commitment will support the new just as Neptune dissolves patterns, beliefs, and ways of life that we don’t need moving forward.

Paradox huh? Surrender and commit. Let go and practice every day.

Make it into art, music, poetry, and ritual. Talk to spirits. Pray if it feels good. Embrace what you know is true and see what it’s like to ride the waves of uncertainty (fun?).

Besides major outer planet transits, the eclipses begin on March 14th with a lunar eclipse in Virgo, highlighting the Pisces/ Virgo axis: soul and body, timelessness and daily routines, spirit and ritual, collective all and the beauty of details. Then the solar eclipse in Aries comes 3/29. Eclipse season comes every 6 months or so and is a potent time for setting intentions for the next 6 months and beyond. It’s also nice to reflect on whatever’s happened since the last eclipses (in September).

There is so much up in our stars and our lives! I’m sending love and light your way. Blessings to all through these shifts and new births! The zodiac series I was holding has ended beautifully, and I will keep folks updated on future offerings as they arise. In the meantime, please reach out if you’d like a reading.

Cosmic Blessings,

Sarah
