gratitude for the lakes and streams, for the songs of my friends, 
for the songs of the trees and songs of the wind, 

gratitude for cycles and seasons shifting change, 
for stars, planets, goddesses and gods, for ancient stories,

gratitude for connection, deep and shallow roots, 
for the brilliant sun, rain, blossoming flowers before fruit, 

and gratitude for the bees, hummingbirds, and other pollinators
(may we emerge from our cocoon),

gratitude for those who’ve come before, walked their path,
spoke their words, who wove new magic into being–

ancestors and guides, here and beyond, 
I give thanks for your wisdom and teaching.

this is a quiet space of praise, breath, abundance in flow,
an acknowledgement of the all-and-us, growing wildly.
