Fitting to wake up to flashes of lighting and thunder shakes in the wee hours of the morning. This Libra Equinox comes with the backdrop of Uranus in Taurus square Saturn in Aquarius (Uranus: ELECTRICITY, freedom, shaking things up– comes into tension with– Saturn: god of time, structure, authority). Yes, outdated structures will fall and what is new and lasting, in alignment with our highest truths, is being rebuilt and strengthened.

Libra is about beauty, ruled by Venus the goddess of love. Libra is about balance, communication, and has tremendous mental stamina. The task is to beauty/balance/connect while in truth to ourselves and convictions. Libra asks that we becomes Ma’at, Egyptian goddess with her scales, that we may each have the subtlety and discernment to weigh and develop our hearts as the earth shakes.

The six planets now in retrograde (Pluto, Neptune, Uranus, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mercury conjunct today’s Sun) ask that we GO DEEP in introspection, looking over our last 6 months since the Aries Equinox last spring. And with fiery Mars in fellow air sign Gemini, I wonder how we might integrate our courage to express the playful places beyond duality– this and this and this AND this– while keeping the knife’s edge of Libra harmony and balance.

We are traversing a stone cliff, sheer on both sides, and dropping thousands of feet below. With one wrong step… keep balance! Thunder and lightning crash around. You see it strike beside you. It’s time to dance! May we dance with grace and playfulness!
